Who we are

FFCNation is a Christian organization dedicated to strengthening faith, family, community and civic pride. We are currently pursuing 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. We have not received a determination of tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service, and nothing on this site should be read as claiming that we have.

FFCNation operates in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the FFCNation website, the member area, our daily email, and the tools we publish on the site. It does not cover other websites or services we link to, or the social media platforms where FFCNation maintains a presence.

Information you give us

  • Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and the name you provide, together with the authentication record held by our hosting and authentication provider.
  • Member profile. If you complete a profile, we store the details you enter: birth year, city, state, ZIP code, whether you were born in the United States, country of birth, an age-at-arrival range where applicable, and citizenship status. These are used to describe civic context and to group results, never to judge you.
  • Assessment responses. If you finish the Civic Heartbeat assessment or the Family & Marriage Strength Index, we store your answers, the resulting scores, the version of the instrument you took, and when you took it. If you are signed in, the result is saved to your account. If you are not signed in, the result is still stored by us without an account, so it can be linked to an account later. Answers to an assessment you leave before finishing are not stored.
  • Bible Challenge activity. We store your attempts, your answers, timing for timed sessions, and the results the server calculates. Weekly standings are opt-in; you are not placed on any public list unless you choose to take part.
  • Community and relationships. If you invite someone or accept an invitation, we store the invitation, who it links, and its status.
  • Churches and organizations. If you register or claim a church or organization, we store the listing details you submit, including the public address, phone and website of the organization.
  • Email subscription. If you subscribe to Today in America, we store your email address, the source of the subscription, when you consented, your delivery preference, and the history of status changes to that subscription.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep what you send.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site we record limited first-party usage events: the page pattern you visited, the feature you used, the outcome of an action, and the time it happened. Events are recorded either against your account, if you are signed in, or against a random identifier your own browser generates.

That random identifier is a value created in your browser. It is not derived from your IP address, your email, your device characteristics or any fingerprinting technique. It expires after ninety days and is replaced when you sign out.

We do not run third-party advertising tags, advertising pixels or cross-site trackers on this site.

Your privacy signals and analytics choices

Our own analytics stop at source if your browser sends Global Privacy Control, if it sends Do Not Track, or if you have set the FFCNation analytics opt-out in your browser. Any one of those is enough; we do not ask twice.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and browser storage that the site needs to work: keeping you signed in; remembering a Bible Challenge attempt you have started so you can return to it; remembering which Civic Heartbeat sections you have completed; keeping a private code for a pending result you have not yet claimed, so it can be linked to your account later; and remembering your analytics opt-out. Unfinished Civic Heartbeat and Family & Marriage Strength Index answers are not kept in browser storage. We do not set advertising cookies.

Voter education and My Ballot

My Ballot helps you see what is on your ballot. You can start with a ZIP code alone. If you choose to give a street address for a more precise match, that address is used for the single lookup you asked for and is sent to the United States Census Bureau geocoding service to determine which districts you fall in.

FFCNation does not store the street address you type, and does not store latitude or longitude for you. What we keep from a lookup is the outcome shape — whether a match was found and which jurisdictions were matched — for product measurement.

Our election information is factual and nonpartisan. We do not profile you politically, we do not score or rank you, we do not infer your views, and we do not use anything you do on the site for political targeting.

How we use information

  • To provide the site, your account, your results and your saved history.
  • To send the emails you asked for, and to send service messages about your account.
  • To calculate scores and standings on our servers rather than in your browser.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which parts of FFCNation are useful and where people get stuck.
  • To keep the service secure, investigate abuse, and maintain governance and audit records of administrative actions.
  • To meet legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service:

  • Our hosting, database, authentication and file storage provider, which stores the information described above.
  • Our email delivery provider, which sends the daily email and account messages and reports delivery outcomes.
  • The United States Census Bureau geocoding service, used only when you submit an address to My Ballot.
  • Public government and election data sources, which we read from. We do not send them anything about you.
  • An AI service used internally by our staff for drafting and review workflows. Member assessment answers, Bible Challenge answers and ballot lookups are not sent to it.

When we share information

  • With the providers above, so they can perform the service for us.
  • With people you deliberately connect to, in the limited way a feature describes — for example an invitation you send, or an opt-in weekly standing.
  • With a church or organization you join, to the extent the membership feature shows.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of people using FFCNation.

Public information you deliberately publish, such as a church listing, is public by design.

Social media

FFCNation maintains accounts on social platforms. When FFCNation connects one of its own accounts to this site, the access it holds is stored on our servers in encrypted form and is used only to operate FFCNation's own account. Connecting a platform does not give FFCNation access to your personal social media account, and we do not ask you to connect yours.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information: access controls on our data, row-level security rules on member data, encrypted storage for platform credentials, and audit records of administrative actions. No online service can be completely secure, and we do not promise that yours will be.

How long we keep information

We keep account, profile, assessment and activity information for as long as your account exists and for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including governance and audit records. Email suppression records are kept so that we do not email someone who asked us to stop. We do not publish a fixed deletion schedule, because we do not want to promise one we have not built.

Your choices and requests

  • You can unsubscribe from the daily email using the link in any email, or from your account page.
  • You can set the analytics opt-out in your browser, or use a browser privacy signal.
  • You can update your profile details in the member area.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data by writing to info@ffcnation.org. There is no self-serve deletion button today; we handle these requests by hand. We will tell you what we can do and what we are required to keep.

Children

FFCNation is intended for adults and for families using the site together. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will address it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will publish a new version with a new effective date. The version identifier and dates for the text you are reading are shown at the top of this page.
