What we believe about marriage and family
Core Belief 2 · Marriage
Husbands are called to lead their families with selfless love, while wives are called to honor and support their husbands, reflecting their devotion to the Lord
- Ephesians 5:22-24 — Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
- 1 Peter 3:7 — Husbands, in the same way, be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect.
Core Belief 3 · Family
Complete nuclear families are foundational to developing future leaders for our communities
- Proverbs 11:14 — Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
- Proverbs 22:6 — Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
