Why I started FFCNation
My Friends,
In 2023, my heart overflowed with joy as we welcomed our first child. As I watched my son grow, one question remained at the forefront of my mind: How do I raise him, and what values should I instill in his life?
That question caused me to think deeply about the kind of foundation we are building for the next generation — and about the responsibility we carry as parents, families, neighbors, and citizens.
As I began looking more closely at the data surrounding faith, family, community, and civic life in America, what I saw was not reassuring. The trends reinforced what I was already feeling as a father: these foundations cannot simply be assumed to remain strong. They have to be intentionally taught, strengthened, and passed on to the next generation.

The answer became clear: we need future generations who are anchored in Christ, devoted to family, engaged in community, and proud of our nation.
We need men and women whose faith gives them a foundation; who understand the importance of strong marriages and families; who serve their neighbors and strengthen their communities; who understand our history and responsibilities as citizens; and who have the courage to live according to their convictions, even when doing so is difficult or unpopular.
As Romans 12:2 reminds us, we are called not simply to conform to the patterns of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
These reflections helped shape FFCNation's five Core Beliefs and eventually grew into something larger than the question I first asked as a father.
I came to believe that strengthening the next generation requires strengthening the institutions and relationships that surround them. Faith matters. Family matters. Community matters. And the health of our nation depends, in part, upon the strength of those foundations.
That is why FFCNation exists.
FFCNation is being built to help people move beyond simply believing these principles to living them — deepening their understanding of Scripture, strengthening marriages and families, learning about our history and civic responsibilities, serving their communities, connecting with organizations and opportunities around them, and becoming more engaged in the lives of their families, neighbors, and communities.
It is also a place for learning and reflection. Through educational resources, assessments, Scripture, civic education, community opportunities, and practical tools, my hope is that FFCNation helps individuals and families better understand where they stand, where they can grow, and how they can put their values into action.
And although FFCNation began with a question about my own child, the mission was never meant to end with my family.
- It is about the faith in Christ we strengthen.
- The families we build up.
- The marriages we invest in.
- The neighbors we serve.
- The communities we strengthen.
- The citizens we equip.
- And the legacy we leave to the generations that follow us.
My prayer is that God uses FFCNation as a vessel for this mission — that through what we build, more people come to know Christ, families grow stronger, communities come together in service, and each of us is better equipped to live with faith, purpose, and responsibility for the nation and future generations entrusted to us.
We will not all come from the same background or share the same life story. But we can choose to build, serve, learn, take responsibility, and leave something stronger for those who come after us.
Anchored in Christ. Devoted to family. Engaged in community. Proud of our nation.
That is the foundation I want for my children — and one I hope to see strengthened in individuals, families, and communities across our nation.
Through FFCNation, I hope we can build upon that foundation together and pass it on to generations to come.
